Jet

Aerobic treatment and distribution solutions for challenging lots in Arizona.

Jet Advanced Treatment

Jet alternative septic systems provide aerobic wastewater treatment and flexible distribution options. We design Jet systems for sites that need reduced drainfield size or higher effluent quality.

Jet Inc. Biologically Accelerated Treatment (BAT)

Jet's Biologically Accelerated Treatment process uses a specially engineered plastic media — the BAT media — to support an enormous, highly active bacterial population inside a single aerated tank. Because the biomass is so dense and well-oxygenated, Jet systems can break down the same quantity of organic waste up to 50 times faster than a conventional anaerobic septic tank. This dramatically accelerated treatment produces an effluent quality that routinely meets or exceeds secondary treatment standards, making Jet systems approvable in Arizona counties that require advanced treatment for alternative drainfields, shallow soils, or environmentally sensitive sites.

The Jet Aerobic Tank Process

A Jet system is divided into three functional compartments within a single tank. The first is the pretreatment zone, where raw sewage enters and heavy solids begin to settle. Effluent then flows into the BAT aeration chamber, the treatment core, where air is continuously pumped through the submerged media. Bacteria attached to every surface of the media consume BOD and pathogens in the passing effluent. Finally, treated water moves to the settlement zone, where any remaining suspended material settles before the clarified effluent exits to the drainfield or distribution system. Jet control panels manage automated aeration scheduling, allowing the system to cycle down during low-use periods to conserve energy while maintaining treatment effectiveness.
